Problem

Esurance was a newcomer into the insurance business only a few short years ago. The niche this company chose to fill—18 to 35–year–olds—has always been a difficult one. For these customers, the rates tend to be higher and there is little loyalty to insurance brands. Esurance wished to stand out of the pack with an edgy, fun, attention-getting, and memorable marketing campaign. They came to Musync to find just the right soundtrack for their creative vision.

For Esurance’s target demographic, music is particularly important. But is there any such thing as a common denominator in musical taste among 18 to 35 year olds? The trick for Musync was to find that perfect sound that could unite this diverse but desirable audience. And since there are many individual spots in the campaign, there needed to be many individual tracks, each sharing a similar distinctive sound. Wild Brain’s fun animations created a thematic look to the entire campaign, and Musync’s music became an aural brand component.

Esurance has become the fastest growing insurance company in the country. We think its marketing campaign is a big part of that. The music is integral to the spots adding to the pizzazz. It’s the emotional punctuation which makes it all click.

To date, Musync has provided almost all of the music for Esurance’s national TV spots, and many tracks for other musical projects. Esurance and Musync are a great marriage.
