Musync®: You Need Better Music!

Listen To The Track

Problem

Adobe needed music for a 15 second animation at the beginning of an online video they were producing. The piece was a motion graphics opening for a product walkthrough/demo video. The look and feel of the animation was inspired by the film “Catch Me If You Can,” with simple infographics but with a slightly friendlier feel. They needed music that would sit under the voice-over nicely, but still add interest and excitement. They mentioned some finger-picked guitar without being too college rock-ish.

Solution

We immediately thought of The Winston Giles Orchestra. Having just received all the instrumental cuts of their two previous albums, we thought their sound would be perfect for what Adobe TV needed and would compliment the imagery well. Winston Giles Orchestra’s music consists of acoustic guitar with a soft electronic background. It’s very light and uplifting. And since we have the tracks as instrumentals, they work very well for a narrated piece.

We sent several of the Winston Giles’ cuts to see what they thought along with several other cuts by other indie artists in our catalog that produce the type of music Adobe needed.

Sure enough, the client selected two of the Winston Giles Orchestra pieces and then narrowed it down to one track: The Magic Touch.
