If you’re an editor or creative director looking for a unique collection of tracks that were designed with you in mind, look no further. Claudio Zanoni, the only musician in the “group”, plays almost all the instruments himself. While most musicians create music for music’s sake, Claudio created The Incredible Soundtrack Adventure especially for cutting to edited content; so each track was designed with a production use in mind. The Shiffers’ music contains fun sounds in a variety of styles—lounge, bossa nova, jazz, and cool ’60s. Think of a sexy, spy-influenced soundtrack.

The Shiffers - Portrait of Claudio Zanoni and Trumpet

The Shiffers is the solo side project by Claudio Zanoni, trumpet player in the Italian pop act Ridillo who, during their career, released five albums over a decade.

Claudio also worked with artists like Eumir Deodato, Montefiori Cocktail, and Italian pop icon Gianni Morandi. In-between, he kept busy composing jingles and signature themes for TV productions.

The Shiffers, compared to Ridillo who basically made songs, represent Claudio’s love for instrumental music and allows him to have more fun with the music itself, without the boundaries of the song as such.

The 20 CD tracks are extremely variegated, moving ironically from Bossa Nova to the Bacharach sound, from ’60’s Beat and Twist to Blue Note Jazz, all revisited in a cocktail spirit. Every track on the album is a little gem of its own, an ideal mini-soundtrack to every day’s passion and pressure. And, last but not least, Claudio plays virtually all the instruments on the whole album by himself!
