Our Take

Jesse James is a punk-pop band from London England. They sound like NOFX.

“Dear Jesus” the album was recorded in San Francisco and was produced by NOFX producer Ryan Greene. Jesse James’ video for “Dear Jesus” was banned in the UK from any television airings. The video is very anti organized religion, anti bigotry, and very anti Bush. Unfortunately, since this release, the band has broken up!

Jesses James’ music is perfect for action or sports-oriented, fast-paced video games or television shows, targeting the teen to 20-something crowds like the “OC” and “Gossip Girl.” We feel it’s always great to rep artists bands that have a little controversy behind them.

Jesse James is a punk-pop band from North London, England. They formed in June of 2000 and have since toured the UK, Europe and Canada. Their first release, “Shoes EP” was a hit in the UK and garnered repeated TV play of the video for the song ‘Shoes.” Later releases include “Hot wired EP,” “Punk Soul Brothers LP,” and “Mission LP,” recorded in San Francisco with the infamous NOFX producer Ryan Greene. The video for the song “Dear Jesus,” released in 2006, was banned from UK TV. Now, they’ve released the most definitive Jesse James album to date in the states with “Dear Jesus” on Reality Entertainment.

Jesse James got perseverance: 6 Years; 498 Shows; 11 countries; 2 Continents; 2 Eps; 3 Albums; band members leaving and returning; nervous breakdowns; arrests; hospitalizations; small fires; big fights.; vicious rumors; that silly song called “Shoes: being played to death on TV; the video for “Dear Jesus” being banned for being too controversial; golf records; being called a “Ska” band; that burrito place on Mission; hull; taking a year off; more guitars than horns; and more rock than you can quarry.
