Dare to explore the wonders of life and your imagination. The whimsical sound of the glockenspiel in Lullatone’s new album evokes a sense of wonderment. Like the album name suggests, the tracks are Soundtracks For Everyday Adventures, taking the ordinary things in life and making them magical. From the sounds of an upbeat accordion when “Checking Things Off A To-Do List Early In The Morning”, to an ethereal brass section in “Brass Practice”, airy whistling in “The Kind Of Song You Make Up In Your Head When You Are Bored” that leads into a romantic piano melody and wistful strings in “Listening To Raindrops Knocking On A Window”. This light and gentle album shows off intricate instrumentation in imaginative ways. Music-box like sounds of the glockenspiel, intimate plucks of guitalele (an instrument from Japan), hushed strings, soft horns, piano and light percussion makes this album perfect for branding advertisements and commercials as well as scoring for light-hearted indie films. This instrumental album will leave you feeling soft and cozy, innocent like a child, reminiscent and nostalgic for the better things in life, making every little moment of everyday adventures magical, as if you were in a day-dream. Check out Checking THings Off A To-Do List Early In The Morning on the Sonic Spots below.

Nashville, Tennessee brings to you the dreamy acoustic sounds of Prattle On, Rick, an indie folk pop band, complete with harmonica and with airy vocals. The emphasis of their album “Communion Bread” is smooth acoustic guitar, with light piano melodies and a climatic cello in “Find Your Own Way”, which can also be heard in a riveting instrumental version. So, go on a long road trip of discovery with “My Holiday”, and let the sweet and soft mandolin in “Lately” sweep you off your feet. This album takes you back to nature, back to simplicity of life, and at the same time, takes you to the complexity of life. The harmonies and lead vocals are soothing and delicate, as if floating on a cloud or in a foggy dream. Prattle On, Rick produces twinkling musical illustrations, perfect for climatic moments in indie films for an emotional impact or for innovative and inspirational commercials. With tracks that are highly reflective and sweeping, you will find yourself wistfully lingering on the images the tracks paint.

Long chords are sliced and diced with intersecting melodies and slow drum kicks and often more intricate play. What at first feels like melancholy unfolds into oftentimes soaring affirmation in cuts such as “Awake and Sleeping.” Ingram’s concept comes into its full force with “Natvardsgasterna” where tracks melt together in a Scandinavian landscape of light, landscape and storm. “Swept” kicks it back with a more traditional space music temperature and “Plattenbauten Palast” reminds of Music for Airports. “I Still Hope” and “Zvenya” tack a little darker and good be used as a backdrop for indie urban scenes, intros and exit credits. On the whole, much here is a natural fit for online applications, games and advertising. Key Tracks: Your Wings Make Me Fly, Natvardsgasterna, I Still Hope, Zvenya

Roster McCabe’s album Through Space and Time delivers to a diverse audience with straightforward beauty and electric charm. This talented quintet produces inspiring, hybrid sounds that range from R&B, soul and funk to metal, reggae, (including amazing jazz melodies in between). “Falling Apart” has an uplifting vibe; the clean, solid arrangements reminiscent of some of our favorite 1970’s tunes. “Soar” is a spectacular instrumental, highlighting a sophisticated rhythm section. “Acorns” could easily soundtrack a movie or television commercial with its inquisitive, light filled beats. These rockers enjoy syncopated bass riffs and powerful drums but their writing skills are just as potent. Going from an easy, reggae flow one minute and bursting into progressive rock intensity, the next, this band delivers, whatever your music flavor might be.
Genre: Pop/rock, Southern Rock, Children’s indie For Fans of: Plain White T’s, Big Country, Cheap Trick Pete Seeger The family-oriented music of collaborators Chuck Nash of Jacksonville, Florida, and Ben Rowell from Atlanta is a delightful romp through pop rock and southern-tinged acoustic singer/songwriter turf. The subject matter is all about the kids. “Brain Freeze” and “Dinosaurs” get right to point of what matters to this listening audience. “Hey!” brings in a rolling percussive track, rock organ and R&B horns. “Palindrome Express” reminds of classic pop country ditties such as Jim Stafford’s “Spiders and Snakes” with it’s trucker shuffle rhythm and witty lyrics. The collection is actually weighty enough to keep the parents tuned in as well. “Paper Airplanes” brings in the pedal steel on still another well-executed track. The lyrics surprise throughout touching on issues ranging from identity and relationships, but stay light and often hilarious. There’s a teaching element in cuts such as “Upside Down” and “Where Are You From.” The set is pitch perfect for Saturday morning TV and G-rated features. Key Tracks: Brain Freeze, Paper Airplanes, Robot, Goodbye

Genre: Pop/rock, Southern Rock, Children’s indie
For Fans of: Plain White T’s, Big Country, Cheap Trick Pete Seeger

The family-oriented music of collaborators Chuck Nash of Jacksonville, Florida, and Ben Rowell from Atlanta is a delightful romp through pop rock and southern-tinged acoustic singer/songwriter turf.

There’s a teaching element in cuts such as “Upside Down” and “Where Are You From.”

Style: Synthpop, New Wave, Chillwave For fans of: Air, Röyksopp, New Order Teeel is the project of New Jersey producer Jim Smith. It’s a mix of vintage Moog sounds and Yamaha DX7 that is clearly in an 80’s synth vein, yet it comes packed with the dream-state mood of the blogosphere and current downtown clubs. With a bit of The Cure and OMD in mind, rhythms are taut backdrops for soaring melodic lines for shoe-gazers and nightcrawlers. “Black Diamonds” is filled with driving percussion and topped with a melancholy vocal hovering above a whirl of softer air-filled hypnotic chords. “Ojai Valley (Shapeless Shadow Remix}” is a darker electronica frenzy while “Galilean Moons” serves up a heavier near-disco beat and richly layers keyboard dances. The title track recalls Pet Shop Boys but stays in an ethereal vein that’s danceable and listenable at once. Whether in a space music or pensive groove, Teeel is producing camera-ready tracks that would fit in teen dramas and contemporary independent films as well as slick corporate programs and as background for edgier commercials. The tracks have an inspirational feel that is deceptively mesmerizing. The remixes push the tension level up a notch and would be a better fit for projects requiring a harder impact.
