Caution Cat – Fortune Fire Fly

by Musync
Genre: Pop, Rock, Adult Alternative
For Fans of: Weezer, Fitz and the Tantrums, OK Go
Caution Cat’s new album Fortune Firefly is a classic modern pop-rock album with tracks that are laid-back, hip, fun, trendy, and evoke the 60s, effortlessly, with guitar, tambourine, and fantastic vocals. It’s an album that pulls inspiration from various genres across various eras.  A reminiscent flavor of British pop-rock and hints of 70s folk linger in their tunes that spark originality.
Caution Cat has clearly put originality back on the table. Annie Moon offers a more dramatic appeal with a catchy upbeat chorus. Fun and liveliness just simply emanates from My Dancing Days Are Over, while Bread in Your Pocket has a bluesy-rock feel with a modern twist. The Silver Boy is funky and fun with surferesque riffs, cool organ and wailing piano – very retro. Emergency is a lovely, mellow composition with a slight edge. Caution Cat really delivers, with smooth vocals and strong harmonizing parts.
So, put on your dancing shoes, and get ready for some serious foot tapping and shoulder shaking. You can’t help but to move and feel the groove when you listen to this band. This album is thematic and progressive, and every track is mind-blowing through to the end.  If you love Weezer and Fitz and the Tantrums, you will, without a doubt, love this album. Their instrumental versions could easily complement any commercial or branded production. The vocals and instrumentals are perfect for a dramatic television series or even a feature film or a trailer.  The song Big Boy Cry as vocal or instrumental is a perfect theme for a strong series.
